The BAKE Awards 2019 winners were announced at a gala event that was held at the Utalii Hotel on 22nd June 2019. Women dominated the awards, winning in 15 out of 23 categories.
The winners on the night included JustJoykendi.com, who won the overall Kenyan Blog of the Year category. Other winners included Lyraoko.com in the photography category, leotunapika.com in the food category, africancityplanner.com in the environmental category and fashionablestepmum.com in the fashion and style category.
The BAKE Awards, since its inception in 2012, has recognized and awarded the best in Kenyan blogging every year. It is organized by the Bloggers Association of Kenya (BAKE), an organization that promotes online content creation and free expression in Kenya.
